Madden Cover Athlete Believes in Curse

For years, Madden NFL cover athletes have been struck by the notorious "Madden curse". But who believes in such supersition? Madden NFL 12 cover star Peyton Hillis sure does.

Things didn't work in my favor this year. There's a few things that happened this year that made me believe in curses. Ain't no doubt about it.

And who can blame him? After a stellar 2010 season, Hillis suffered an injury to his hamstring, missed a game due to strep throat (fucking baby), and closed the 2011 season at less than 50% of his total rushing yardage from the previous season.

Is this a cop out by Peyton Hillis and an excuse for a poor performance? Or is the Madden curse so strong that even the stars themselves can't help but get caught up in it?

All I know is that if I were in the NFL, I would stay far away from the cover of Madden.
