Xbox 360: The Official Console of the NFL

Microsoft and the NFL announced a multi-year deal that pegs the Xbox 360 as the official console of the NFL. The partnership also puts focus on NFL Play 60, a youth fitness program encouraging good health and an active lifestyle in children. Kinect will be used as a fitness tool incorporated into the program.

I'm not sure how many years a "multi-year" deal entails, but this could mean that Microsoft is planning on putting support into the Xbox 360 even after a successor is released (unlike what happened with the orignal Xbox), or the deal has some fine-print which states that Microsoft can use their next console whenever it's released, which could be as early as 2012.
