Xbox ‘Next’ Aiming for 2013 E3 Debut, Q4 2013 Launch

Last week some information surfaced that a next-gen Xbox was in development. Today, a new report is saying that the console will be ready for an E3 2013 debut and could launch as early as Fall 2013. Develop cites "multiple sources from around the industry, from processor chip manufacturers to middleware firms" for the information.

In the report, the next generation Xbox is referred to as the "Xbox Next". Develop also states that Lionhead Studios is working on a game known internally as Fable Next, adding credence to the Xbox Next name.

"Xbox Next" is most likely only a working title for the project and the name will change for launch, much like Project Natal eventually launched as Kinect.

With information beginning to trickle out on an Xbox 360 successor and the PS4, it's clear that the next generation of consoles is coming within the next 2-3 years.
