Microsoft and Harmonix has released a partial list, 13 of 40 songs on disc, for Dance Central 2 at gamescom. Back in E3, I thought I had seen everything there was to see about Dance Central 2. I was already a complete fan of the original Dance Central, which is still the best Kinect game that shows off its technology by a long shot, so Dance Central 2 was just like having more cake. Here's the fluffy and moist tracklist so far:
- Flo Rida feat David Guetta – Club Can’t Handle Me
- David Guetta feat Akon – Sexy Chick
- Daddy Yankee feat Fergie – Impacto
- Darude – Sandstorm
- Daft Punk – Technologic
- O-Zone – Dragostea Din Tei
- Bruno Mars – Grenade
- Donna Summer – Hot Stuff
- Gnarls Barkley – Run
- Lena – Satellite
- Enrique Iglesias – I Like It
- Lady Gaga – Born This Way
- Exile – I Wish for You
Dance Central 2 will feature true two-player dance battles, tracking both characters on screen and will have a Free-4-All mini-game where players must quickly perform moves from the song for fast points. Along with the addition of four dance crews—RipTide, Hi-Def, Flash4ward, and Lu$h Crew—the game will also integrate voice commands for selecting and pausing songs, without having to hold your left hand awkwardly for four seconds to back out of a song.
Best of all, the Break It Down mode allows players to customize their practice and even compare their dancing in a video playback to the on-screen dancer to see exactly what they're doing wrong. Of course, if you're drunk enough, that probably won't matter to you.
Dance Central 2 arrives on the floor on October 25 in North America.
