Persona 5 Story, Gameplay Details Revealed

Just last week we got our first look at Persona 5 in action, thanks to the release of an incredible new trailer from Atlus. Now producer and director Katsura Hashino has spoken out to share a bit about the game's story and gameplay.

According to Famitsu (via Siliconera), the main character recently transferred to Shibuya to live with friends of his parents in their coffee shop. He's in his second year of high school and is apparently dealing with some sort of problem. Whether it has something to do with the mysterious absence of his parents remains to be seen.

The protagonist's persona is a thief, which was made all too evident in the latest trailer, which we've closely analyzed right here. Players will meet up with a transforming cat named Morgana as well as the two other characters that were shown off in the latest trailer.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that turned-based combat will be returning as well as the series' iconic social link system. Huzzah!
